The hotel built in 1500 and home to nobility was made into a hotel in 1748 and has a historical exterior and in the summer months has a variety of flowers in its window boxes adorning the front of the hotel.
Bedrooms do vary greatly in size due to the age of the building and are all individually charmingly decorated in traditional design with many original features. Both rooms and bathrooms are in good condition.
The hotel prides itself on its cuisine, which include both international specialties and local special dishes. The hotel has many different function and eating rooms all both charming and sophisticated.
The hotel lobby is medium in size and stretches the length of the hotel. It is traditional in design with a staircase to one side. There is a small bar at one end with a seating area with windows to one side overlooking the hotels beautiful inner courtyard/ garden.
The hotel is located in the pedestrian area of the pretty town centre of Villach - a spa resort in the heart of the karnter lakes,surrounded by mountains.
